How many calories does potato soup contain?
Between 125 and 400 calories, depending on the preparation (Average daily needs for weight loss woman: 1600 kcal / man: 2000 kcal)
Fattening Hazard: Small to Medium
A simple, thin soup that, depending on how it’s prepared, can be high in calories or light yet flavorful.
This is how you save calories
Add other vegetables like carrots, celery, leeks, onions, etc. with potatoes. This provides more flavor and volume – with fewer calories. The finely pureed whole also makes a good trap in terms of taste. A small dash of liquid cream or milk is enough to refine the soup.
Tips for losing weight
Use a little liquid cream. Even a Gutsch milk can already refine the soup. If the soup is “only” the starter, then 1.5 dl is enough. And in this case, you can do without bread, since the main course always follows. If soup is the main dish, it can be a larger portion of 3 dl. Add bread, cheese, cold meats and vegetables (eg vegetable sticks with cottage cheese dip or a generous salad) to create a complete, hearty and balanced meal.
